Kay Crane was born in Washington, D.C. into a family of artists. Encouraged from
an early age to draw and paint,Kay has been at it for as long as she can remember.
A lover of all kinds of animals, she finds herself drawn to these as subjects for her
art and more recently her fascination with old trucks and rusted machinery can also
be seen in her paintings. Her work has been commissioned nationally by a number
of museums, nature centers and theatres. She has also exhibited internationally.
